Description Shaun Crampton 2004-07-13 09:45:10 UTC
Somehow this happened on my setup... dont know how.

For example in konqueror typing http://www.google.com in is fine -- but clicking for example the 'images' link opens a download dialog with 'Type html' + "what would you like to do with this file".

This results from a file being created in ~/kde/share/mimelnk/text called html.desktop containing the following:
[Desktop Entry]
X-KDE-AutoEmbed=false

I'm not sure but this may have been done by Tunderbird maybe -- anyway, there was no way to reverse the behaviour from the KDE control panels.

Resolved by removing the file.

Reproducible: Always

And what do you think shall we do when you (or the program you are using) change your configuration?
