Description Bob Healey 2004-07-13 05:20:32 UTC
When I try to emerge fluxbox on a new install, installation fails on installing fontconfig. Portage can not find a required patch file.

/usr/portage/media-libs/fontconfig/files/patch/fontconfig-2.1-cvs-update-20021221.patch

As this is a dependency for X, that highly limits the usefulness of this box in its intended purpose.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge fluxbox

Actual Results:
helpdesk2 root # emerge fluxbox
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 4) media-libs/fontconfig-2.1-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) fcpackage.2_1.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking fcpackage.2_1.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/fontconfig-2.1-r1/work

 * Cannot find $EPATCH_SOURCE! Value for $EPATCH_SOURCE is:
 *
 *   /usr/portage/media-libs/fontconfig/files/patch/fontconfig-2.1-cvs-update-
20021221.patch

!!! ERROR: media-libs/fontconfig-2.1-r1 failed.
!!! Function epatch, Line 182, Exitcode 0
!!! Cannot find $EPATCH_SOURCE!

Expected Results:
emerged and install fluxbox and all dependencies

dunno where that patch went, i thought everything 2.1 related got ressurrected. Use the ~mips version of fontconfig.

mips peepz, please mark a newer fontconfig stable, 2.1 is ancient

I made fontconfig-2.2.2 stable on mips...should fix the problem without having to unmask it yourself.
