This is easy to do without the PEAR eclass and its dependencies/annoyances. I'd like to wait to see if upstream will ship the test suite, though.

And, do we change the name? Or leave it PEAR-foo even though it's no longer being pulled from PEAR? I think the "PEAR" prefix was probably a mistake all along, but both a pkgmove and a rename/mask make my brain groan.

I just committed the new version and removed the old ones that used the PEAR eclass. That should fix this problem. I'll open another bug to remind me to rename it one day. Thanks!
