Well, not a bug at all, all is in the title. Installed on ia64: gift-0.11.6-r1 gift-openft-0.2.1.3 gift-gnutella-0.0.9.2 And it seems to work... So ebuilds should be unmasked for ~ia64. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.add ~ia64 to KEYWORDS in the ebuilds copies 2.compile 3.configure & run Actual Results: Runs on Itanium. Hmmm, don't think that emerge info would be relevant here. And I'm sorry for people who will read, if I filled this form in the wrong way.
could you tell us if gift-fasttrack works, too? Might as well not add only a few of gift's tools ;)
Don't know for the moment, as I did not try ! Maybe I'll be able to tell you later after testing... CU
Well, last news are good news! As I re-started my itanium machine, I gave a new try to gift building... Here is my report: gift-0.11.7 builds gift-openft-0.2.1.4 builds gift-gnutella-0.0.9.2 builds gift-fasttrack-0.8.7 builds Remarks: 1-I know I did not test if the program works, sorry !.. 2-I may have found a little bug in the build process. As I have no need for sound on the machine, I tried to build gift with the -oggvorbis USE flag, it compiled with no error, but the protocols could not build after, because of ld complaining it could not find "-lgiftproto". I verified with etcat and saw there were the relevant headers (/usr/include...) but no proto libs :( . Then I recompiled with oggvorbis on and all went well after that ! This said, I think I will have the machine "in production" soon, then I can tell if gift really works or not... But now I'm going to shut it down. :(
added ~ia64 to gift
Created attachment 39180 [details] Complete emerge output of vim6.3 sucessfully emerged
Looks like the last comment was posted to the wrong place !.. I tried to mail Jaime Alvaro Moreno, but my account seems to be blacklisted by his mail provider. Can someone mail him and tell about it, so that he could re-post in the right topic, please ?
Gift version bump gift 0.11.8.1
nothing more to do here
