emerge rsync
emerge -p world
Comes back with gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.7-gentoo-r10
My system is with gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.7-gentoo-r9
emerge gentoo-dev-sources fails with
/usr/portage/distfiles/genpatches-2.6-7.42-extras.tar.bz2 not found after
searching all the mirrors.


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gentoo-dev-sources to compile 2.6.7-gentoo-r10
2. Make sure you don't have the sources locally to force the emerge 
to download the files
3. The download fails with /usr/portage/distfiles/genpatches-2.6-7.42-extras.tar.bz2 not found after searching all the mirrors

Actual Results:  
Downloading all needed files to compile gentoo-dev-sources fails

Expected Results:  
Downloading all needed files to compile gentoo-dev-sources successfully

Wouldn't it be nice to verify that the sources are available before rolling the main dev-sources ebuild out?

FYI: worked now, the genpatches downloaded fine, thank you.
