I would like to submit an ebuild for consideration, but the documentation is not completely straight forward about it. http://www.gentoo.org/doc/ebuild-submit.html points to http://bugs.gentoo.org/enter_bug.cgi which asks for category in which to submit the "bug". Well, it is not a "bug" I wish to submit, but a "feature" that I wish to have added.I do understand that a "bug" tracking system is the place to track "feature requests" as well. It would be more clear if one of the categories said "newly submitted ebuilds to be considered go here" or something to that effect. Or if somewhere else in the web documentation this was made more clear. Searching the bug list, I see many submissions of ebuilds, so I do know that bugzilla is indeed used for ebuild submission. I posted this question on the forums http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=9846&highlight=ascpu and was pointed back to the documentation that I'd already read before posting in the first place. Because I still find it unclear, I consider this to be a "bug" somewhere in the web site documentation. I have ebuilds to submit that could benefit other users than myself, but I won't submit them until the ebuild submission process is made a little clearer to me so that I do submit them through the proper channels.
