The glsl_compiler, below src/glsl, is built during the compilation phase but it's not installed by default. I think it makes sense to have it installed
What would you do with it, if it were installed?
I have recently used it to debug a shader program (at least from the compilation point of view), so I have thought this tool might be useful for other people who might ignore its existence. Ok, it's a pretty specialistic tool but currently it is necessary to compile the mesa sources via ebuild to access it.
I'm not sure I want to make this change in Gentoo... If you want, please email mesa-dev@lists.freedesktop.org with this suggested change (and ideally a patch).
