Not sure which program is responsible for this, but when I click on the menu, it gets drawn all screwy.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  click on the dropdown menu (the "menu" applet)
2.  observe bad rendering
Actual Results:  
garbage

Expected Results:  
clean text

please attach output of 'dmesg'.

Closing as obsolete because I never was able to get the dmesg output and it appears to have been fixed.
