Kopete doesn't connect to ICQ. According to the official site, "A small change to ICQ servers this week broke Kopete's ICQ connectivity. It supports ICQ, AIM, Jabber, yahoo and god knows what else. You don't want to miss it. Yesterday (10. July 2004) ICQ made some small changes in their protocoll. Thus Kopete could not connect to the ICQ network anymore. Kopete developers immediately fixed the "bug" and released kopete-0.8.4 Kopete is also included in kde - package "kdenetwork". This version and stand alone kopete < 0.8.4 won't do the icq-trick anymore so you need to install version 0.8.4 if you want ICQ. It should be placed in /usr/portage/net-im/kopete/ . Kopete is connecting again to icq. I'm using the version shipped with kde 3.2.2 and it's running without problems... The problem as due icq servers but it's now solved, so the devs can close this bug safely. Thanks!!!
