media-libs/ebg and media-libs/ebits (libs for e17) are depricated and have been replaced by an other lib (edje). The x11-wm/e ebuild should not install them. media-gfx/ebony is the only app depending on ebg and should be removed as its purpose is creating ebg files. The only apps that depend on ebits are media-gfx/etcher (tool for creating ebits files), x11-misc/ebindings, x11-misc/med. All these apps are currently useless and I seriously doubt they can be built. As an aside, a confused gentoo user recently istalled ebg thinking it was necessary for changing the background of e16, which is what prompted me to file this report. x11-wm/e has to install ebits/ebg/etc... because it still uses them it hasnt been updated to the next gen of e17 libraries ... e will fail to compile because of this, but etcher/ebony/ebindings/med should still work fine due to the fact that they are quite old and havent been updated in a while, i'll go ahead and punt them for now and wait until they get rewritten with the new libraries
