Hi there, I am a new user of gentoo system (1 week) and like it ! But while migrating my stuff from my old laptop (Debian SID), I noticed that some of my mail tool was not up-to-date in gentoo, in particular notmuch 'v0.20.2' instead of 'v0.21'. I went through the process of upgrading a ebuild, to upgrade on my laptop, with the great help of the irc crowd on ~gentoo-dev-help really frendly. 2 more things: * I reported to upstream author a problem on the https certificate on the server, and they redirect from http to https, should be fix by now. * On the source they dropped the support of gmime2.4 (see NEWS file), and so the option '--with-gmime-version' did not exist anymore. Can you upgrade the application in gentoo ? Guillaume. Reproducible: Always

"Notmuch now requires gmime >= 2.6.7. The gmime 2.4 series is no longer supported" see also https://notmuchmail.org/news/
I feel sorry we are behind Debian in delivering cutting edge software. ;-) I have it almost done at the day of announcement, but I had some problems with StartCom/StartSSL certs verification and I had to postpone bump for later. I will return to that on the weekend.
