Search 1: Quick Search: shared, Search found 189 matches Search 2: Quick Search: storage, Search found 174 matches Search 3: Quick Search: shared storage, Search found 213 matches Search 4: Quick Search: shared AND storage, Search found 213 matches Search 3 used to be an "AND-search" by default, which IMHO is the correct behaviour. Now Search 3 and Search 4 are "OR-searches" which make it more difficult to find the articles you are interested in. If I go to the "Search Query-page" (http://forums.gentoo.org/search.php) and enter "shared AND storage" and select "Search for any terms or use query as entered" I get "Search found 213 matches". If I enter "shared storage" and select "Search for all terms" I get again "Search found 213 matches". Conclusion: no matter how hard you try it's impossible to do an "AND-search". Until recently this always worked fine.
The AND search is set as the default, what you're seeing here is the limit of 256 posts returned from the search. If you display results as posts you will see that there are 256 matches.
