Description Lagu 2015-11-09 12:08:59 UTC
Hi, well this is a problem with some notebooks it comes with a 2.1 system, but the subwoofer most be connected externaly, this issue actually is opened in pulseaudio:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91568

The most probably is this affects practically all the kernel sources (actually i use the hardened sources), in the issue are a patch of pulseaudio to detect the connection of the external subwoofer, but the patch can't be applied to the existing sources directly (i try it with the hardened), checking the patch the most probably is some one with knowledge of the kernel can use or fix it.

Direct link to the patch of pulseaudio:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=117571

Thx.

Ideally is if this can be merged in the oficial linux repo, but i don't have knowledge for this i only can talk as a user.

As I see in upstream bug report, upstream is trying to fix this in a different way and it's still not clear that this is the patch that will finally by used by them, we will follow upstream report then
