Description Salim Fadhley 2004-07-08 21:48:42 UTC
Feature request: Actos is a free tool that helps in the configuration of Asterisk:

"An "intelligent" GUI in Python+GTK for editing .conf files. The aim is to build a complete tool with an intuitive interface for configuring ASTERISK (because that lacks a bit for the moment...). The user is guided through the complexities of Asterisk and is helped to choose the right options."

An eBuild for Actos would set Gentoo up as the ultimate platform for the Asterisk free PBX system.

An ebuild would be nice. Escpecialy an init script. But I downloaded actos and it was so simple to install and use. It was set up in 5 minutes

The URL you posted originally no longer works. I believe a better URL for reference is http://www.ifrance.com/belikewater/code/actos.html

As requested ebuild for actos 2.1. Everything seems to be in order and no
problems noted

actos-server 2.01

An attempt at an ebuild for actos-server. This needs a little more testing and
some help to get it finalised.

Basically it runs a little script to:
1) create a new user (I used enewuser to do this)
2) Change the permissions on /etc/asterisk (I added an einfo warning
instead...)
3) Add some stuff into /etc/sudoers (I used "echo >>" to do this, but it feels
like a nasty hack. Any suggestions?)

I haven't tested the result so can't really comment whether it works anyway.
It's not something that I intend to use, but hopefully this is pretty close to
a finalised ebuild which may be useful to others? Comments appreciated

Hmm, OK. I provided an ebuild, but no comments so far.. Anyone tried this at all?
Comment 6 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-03 03:58:52 UTC
no one interested apparently. Are you still interested?
Comment 7 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-03 14:00:04 UTC
Even the latest ebuild contains a HOMEPAGE that's completely irrelevant.

Missing upstream -> CANTFIX.
