I've emerged the aMule and the instalation finished with no errors. But when I started the aMule it crashed when I asked to update the serverlist from a URL. Well, then I get a server.met file from the web and it worked perfectly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Emerge aMule 2. Start aMule 3. could you paste the error log ?
There's no error log. The log that it have is after I put the server.met file.
i still need more infos maybe you could strace the problem
Well... I've delete the server.met file and "touch" a new one. I've stated the aMule in a terminal and that's the output... ------------------------------------------ bash-2.05b$ amule Initialising aMule Config: x1: 0 y1: 0 x2: 1016 y2: 691 split read, found : 319 srv_split read, found : 463 Server listening on port 4712. *** TCP socket at 4663 *** UDP socket at 4666 (chat) *** UDP socket at 4673 Serverlist loaded. *** reading servers Loading temp files from /home/blacksun/.aMule/Temp/*.part.met. follow what I've suggested here and post the results: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45091#c5 this is the major source for amule crashes...
could you please try amule-1.2.7 or amule-1.2.8 and let me know if the problem is still happening? One of these two should become the next stable version in portage.
This is supposedly fixed in 1.2.8 which is now stable.
