I've emerged the aMule and the instalation finished with no errors. But when I started the aMule it crashed when I asked to update the serverlist from a URL. Well, then I get a server.met file from the web and it worked perfectly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge aMule
2. Start aMule
3. Update the serverlist from a URL

Actual Results:
Crash

Expected Results:

could you paste the error log ?
Comment 2 Sérgio Francisco Moraes Villela 2004-07-09 14:59:07 UTC
There's no error log. The log that it have is after I put the server.met file.
Comment 3 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-09 15:14:27 UTC
i still need more infos
maybe you could strace the problem
Comment 4 Sérgio Francisco Moraes Villela 2004-07-09 20:15:20 UTC
Well... I've delete the server.met file and "touch" a new one. I've stated the aMule in a terminal and that's the output...

follow what I've suggested here and post the results:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45091#c5

this is the major source for amule crashes...
Comment 6 Jon Hood (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-19 15:30:15 UTC
could you please try amule-1.2.7 or amule-1.2.8 and let me know if the problem is still happening? One of these two should become the next stable version in portage.
Comment 7 Jon Hood (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-13 18:35:49 UTC
This is supposedly fixed in 1.2.8 which is now stable.
