eix shows Homepage: http://xemacs.org/ which is not about this package. Probably it is this here: https://bitbucket.org/xemacs/footnote/src The ebuild has no HOMEPAGE or EAPI line.
the homepage was set by the eclass and EAPI=0 does not need to be written in the header says the devmanual, but if there is a real HOMEPAGE, it would be an valuable improvement.
Thanks for the suggestion but the XEmacs Packages are, in most cases anyway, repackaging of upstream packages possibly with some XEmacs compatibility changes. They are repackaged to fit into the XEmacs package system and are integrated to work together with the other packages. So in this sense the homepage of the package is logically xemacs.org since the package is part of the XEmacs Packages. That each XEmacs Package resides in its own bitbucket project is an artefact of how the XEmacs project handles the mercurial repository for the packages. That URL can of course be a good source of information but to set that as the home page of the package is not the right thing I think.
