When I do it: gxine just closes after while with no debug messages (gdb gxine), kaboodle shows smaller video :( I have no clue where to look for a source of trouble. Give me some hints. Please fullscreen with mplayer, with and without the "-vo xv" option. Also, post your video card, driver being used, resolution, kernel being used (i.e. gentoo-sources or ck-source), output of "xvinfo", and output of "xdpyinfo".
