As reported in gentoo-dev mailing list: Hello, Emerging windowmaker 0.95.7 fails on my ~amd64 gentoo linux system for quite some time now. The problem is in the ebuild file, where the LINGUAS variable is not being constructed correctly and ends up including newline characters after each lingua. I have modified the ebuild so that all newlines are removed from the LINGUAS variable and replaced with whitespace, which is what it should have been in the first place. Let me know if this patch is acceptable. Timur
This can be reproduced by unsettings LINGUAS (so I never got to see the problem)
Fixed in -0.95.7 and -9999 ebuilds with the help of xargs :) Thanks again for the initial report
Thank you for fixing it Bernard :) Does this fix immediately get reflected to the portage tree? So if I did an emerge --sync, would I get it?
Yes, it should have been picked in the following rsync master update. So your next "emerge --sync" should indeed show an update to windowmaker ebuilds :) For reference here is the git commit: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit?id=1e4ad4895eb6acdd28c02e1b963de30c1be70837
