Description Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-08 10:22:30 UTC
marduk --

this is just a tracking bug for the packages.g.o migration that I mentioned earlier. I've created an account for you on the new server (nuthatch.gentoo.org) and set up a new directory in /var/www/packages.gentoo.org/.

Database information is in your ~/

Ping me on IRC or drop me an email if you have any questions.

Kurt, New site appears to be working fine. Let me knonw when you want to do a DNS switchover so that I can update the config (links).

The new site doesn't appear to be updating -- last packages are from July 28th. Is there something wrong?

Oh yeah... I need to be in the cron group, or at least I need a user account in the cron group so that the db can be updated via cron.
Comment 7 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-07 09:56:21 UTC
ok -- there's already an account for that -- gpackages. Can you put any scripts that it needs to run in /var/www/packages.gentoo.org/scripts/? (or some similar directory under /var/www/packages.gentoo.org/ but outside of htdocs/)

Let me know what needs to go in /etc/crontab and I'll set that up.
