Description mrme01 2015-10-29 14:26:48 UTC
Upon trying to run emerge --ask kde-plasma/plasma-desktop, I'm given the error "No ebuilds to satisfy "sys-auth/polkit-qt[qt5]"", however when searching the package database, the closest I can find is https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/sys-auth/polkit-qt . I am unable to work out if the error is with my install, me or the instructions. All further information is here regarding this, https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7834472.html

If I am getting this wrong, or I am missing some vital step you think I may not have taken, please advise as I am not getting a timely response from the forums regarding the issues I'm facing.

Try echo "-qt5" >> /etc/portage/profile/use.stable.mask.

That has gotten me further, however I'm now faced with dependency conflicts between what appears to be openssl and poppler. These I should be able to resolve in due course. Thank you for your help in this matter so far.
