Description Alecks Gates 2015-10-28 22:22:52 UTC
A new version of bedup has been released

Reproducible: Always

This version of bedup requires dev-lang/python:3.3 or greater and works around a bug that previously required <dev-python/alembic-0.7

sys-fs/bedup-0.10.0
Comment 2 Alecks Gates 2015-10-28 22:26:16 UTC
Also, it should be compatible with python 3.5 as per https://travis-ci.org/g2p/bedup, though I have not tested it myself.

I know about this release. However, I'm not sure if we should bump before they switch to safer ioctls. In fact, I'd rather p.mask all the current versions as having risk of data corruption.
Comment 4 Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2015-10-30 14:31:33 UTC
I've decided to p.mask all bedup versions immediately, and bump afterwards. So it's p.masked now and I should get it in today.

For future, please do not attach whole ebuilds. Use a diff, patch or pull request instead.

    sys-fs/bedup: version bump to 0.10.0, #564368

    Major changes (from release notes):
    * Require Python 3 (3.3 and newer) -> solves recursion issues
    * Require a UTF-8 terminal and locale
    * Increase robustness against bad encodings, bad data on disk,
    non-checksummed extents, stale file handles, unusual labels
