ifruset has been available upstream since 2010 (according to http://ipmiutil.sourceforge.net/docs/ChangeLog ). However, it isn't present in (at least) versions 2.8.5 and 2.9.3 as installed on Gentoo.

note:
$ grep ifruset Makefile.am | head -n1
# TESTPROGS are not built by default.  To build, do 'make ifruset', for example.

I'm not sure why upstream lumps it in with test programs; it is useful for setting FRU data that ifru does not cover.
