When libexttextcat-2.0.so.0 has been installed on the system, compiling net-mail/dovecot-2.2.18 will automatically produce a binary linked to that shared library, resulting in a hidden dependency. This breaks .tbz2-based installations. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install app-text/libexttextcat 2. emerge -b net-mail/dovecot-2.2.18 3. unmerge app-text/libexttextcat, or try to install the .tbz2 file on another system Actual Results: dovecot fails to run, while emerge/depmod does not show any package problems. Similarly, when packages are moved another system in binary format, dependency checking does not show that libexttextcat is missing. Expected Results: Package dependencies should work properly.
