The Tox Project overlay now lives in the Tox organization on Github. The current URL still functions with a redirect, but this should only be temporary; we'd like the proper URL shown in the Layman list. The updated information is as follows: Overlay Name: gentoo-overlay-tox Description: Ebuilds for Toxcore, Tox clients, and other Tox-related projects Owner Name: The Tox Project Email: infrastructure@tox.chat Thanks, David Zero The Tox Project Reproducible: Always
Ok, I'm going to guess it's about 'tox-overlay'. So: 1. I've updated the URLs and description. 2. If you want repository name changed, please update profiles/repo_name first. Then I'll update the overlay name. Note that layman won't know the overlay name changed, so users will have to manually delete and readd it. 3. As for owner's e-mail, it must match an existing Bugzilla account so that the bugs about the repository can be reliably reported to the owner. Please either register an account for the infrastructure@ address or provide another e-mail address that has Bugzilla account registered.
Hello. I'm the maintainer of the overlay for Tox - though repo I'm maintaining is not located under `Tox/`, but under `zetok/`: https://github.com/zetok/gentoo-overlay-tox. Regarding what David wrote: >The Tox Project overlay now lives in the Tox organization on Github. It lived there, and was transferred by me under my account. Since info needs to be updated - I've updated repository.xml. Thanks for your time.
Please excuse Zetok. He did in fact maintain the repository, but recently fell out with the project, and won't take "no" for an answer as far as responsibility for the overlay goes. He no longer represents the Tox Project. The proper location of the overlay is, in fact, under the Tox Github organization. I've registered a bugzilla account with "infrastructure@tox.chat" so that the owner email may be changed. Thanks, David Zero The Tox Project

I'm still maintaining the overlay - and will do so as long as I will be able to / there will be need to maintain it. Now, If "Tox Project" is capable of actually maintaining the overlay - that's great, I could have more free time. Sadly, I don't believe that this is the case - though if I'm wrong about that, all the better :)
You do not maintain THE overlay. You maintain one copy of the overlay, whose changes I will be happy to regularly merge into the official repository, pending sanity checks. Maintainer or not, you have no grounds on which to claim sole ownership of the project's overlay. That said, I would appreciate it if you took your complaints about the project to a more appropriate forum.
Please don't expect us to solve your disputes. I've updated the URL since the new requested URL matched the redirect in place. I really don't have a problem having both your overlays in Gentoo but one of them would have to be renamed.
@David, I've updated the contact info. Please make sure to watch the bugmail on the relevant address (or just 'watch' the address using Bugzilla's watching feature) since this is the official way of communicating issues with repositories. @Zetok, if you'd like to add another repository for Tox, feel free to open a bug and I'll handle it. Just please remember to update profiles/repo_name as well ;-).
@Michał Górny Sorry, but I think that I'm not going to do that - what I'm maintaining is an overlay for Tox stuff. Changing its name, etc strikes me as something rather very weird, and counter-productive. *shrugs* It's sad though how users will be directed to something that isn't even maintained.
@Zetok, there's nothing forbidding you from getting your ebuilds directly into ::gentoo and proxy-maintaining them. If you'll open a pull request against gentoo/gentoo, I'll be happy to review it and help you get it into proper quality, then I can merge it for you.
@Michał Thanks! Sounds great to me. I've been meaning to do that, but I'm not quite sure how things are supposed to work - e.g. ensuring that things will be up-to-date (given how rapidly things at Tox change, things can become outdated quite fast). Well, I guess I'll be asking when I won't know something :) I'm going to start making PRs for ebuilds either tomorrow (~24h from now) or in 2-3 days, depending on when I will have time.
