I compile app-emulation/vice using -gtk2 gtk3. I haven't used it for some months, and now when I ran x64 I see http://i.imgur.com/hM5DOiE.png The gtk3 interface used to work fine before, now its missing. equery uses app-emulation/vice shows: - - gtk2 : Use GTK+2 for GUI instead of GTK+3 Examining the ebuild I see: # upstream says gtk3 and sdl2 shouldn't be exposed yet. #REQUIRED_USE="?? ( gtk2 gtk3 sdl )" (...) # gtk3? ( # x11-libs/gtk+:3 # vte? ( x11-libs/vte:2.90 ) # ${GTK_COMMON} # ) gtk3 support has been reverted in a very sloppy way! The use flag description still states that gtk3 is used when gtk2 is not. The ebuild comment claims upstream said gtk3 should be removed, but the ebuild still links to http://vice-emu.sourceforge.net/ as the homepage, and that homepage is dead. It would be nice if you cleaned up the ebuild, made it explain clearly that -gtk2 means the thing in the screenshot and not gtk3, and pointed the homepage to https://sourceforge.net/projects/vice-emu/ where upstream doesn't look dead. Reproducible: Always
The ui selection should be less surprising in 2.4.22
