Description Derek Dolney 2004-07-06 20:46:09 UTC
Trying to start the Torch scenario in lgeneral results in a segfault. The sourceforge site (http://lgames.sourceforge.net/index.php?action=show_news&news_action=show_item&item_id=72) says this was fixed in 1.2beta. It seems that the lgeneral-data package is old. The suggested install method seems to be to generate the scenarios oneself using the lgc-pg tool included with lgeneral and the Panzer General data, which can be found as pg-data.tar.gz on the lgeneral sourceforge site.

I will attach an ebuild that does this. It works for me, including the Torch scenario.

Hmmm, I get this when I run with your ebuild:

/usr/share/games/..//games/lgeneral/convdata/strength.bmp: Couldn't open /usr/share/games/..//games/lgeneral/convdata/strength.bmp

Yes, the ebuild was broken. It worked for me because I already had lgeneral
installed. Please test this new ebuild.

No, compiling stuff in src_install is definitely right out.
