emerge --info

On my hardened ~amd64 machine with gcc-5.2.0 I see the following failure for sbcl.

+ echo //doing warm init - compilation phase

/usr/sbin/paxmark.sh: line 30: 27985 Bad system call scanelf -Xxz ${flags} "$f" > /dev/null 2>&1
+ ./src/runtime/sbcl --core output/cold-sbcl.core --lose-on-corruption --no-sysinit --no-userinit
make-target-2.sh: line 49: 27987 Killed ./src/runtime/sbcl --core output/cold-sbcl.core --lose-on-corruption --no-sysinit --no-userinit < make-target-2.lisp

This seems to be the same problem as bug 562254 (which I had already opened before I found this one - sorry!). Could you please read that and see if it applies to your situation as well?

I concur with your analysis. I'm tempted to resolve this bug as duplicate, since yours seems to be more informative, but depending on the resolution it might be preferable to have one bug per package, where this occurs, so I'm leaving it open for now.

Thak you for the confirmation. I added a "see also" link from bug 562254 to ensure one isn't forgotten when the other is resolved.
