Ok, thanks for the bug report - I suspect Qt got somehow got emerged without ssl support but lets have that worked out with help from Qt maintainers..
Comment 4 Davide Pesavento (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2015-09-24 12:03:24 UTC
Yes, for SSL/TLS support in Qt you need to depend on either qtcore:4[ssl] (for qt4), or qtnetwork:5[ssl] (for qt5).

Latest upstream ebuild

Ok,

attached is ebuild with stricter dependencies so that it will use ssl with qt, also sqlite with qtsql that is a requirement also. This ebuild builds latest upstream release that fixes some network-related bugs and changes translation system from qm files of qt into gnu gettext.

Not sure what this tarball is.

$ l /mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/net-p2p/classified-ads-0.07_p20150728/work
classified-ads-0.07_p20150728  classified-ads-graphics-0.07_p20150728

$ l /mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/net-p2p/classified-ads-0.07_p20150728-r1/work
classified-ads-dd2017f3be9d5d68d5fb85af2d626424b3e712e0  ui

so S is invalid and it never gets started

Hmm, these prints are from the buggy version? There is
/usr/portage/net-p2p/classified-ads/classified-ads-0.07_p20150728.ebuild
but it does not fail to build and source tarball is downloaded as it should. What it seems to me the 2nd source tarball indeed gets named wrongly.. when started with "normal" method and distfiles cleaned
 emerge =net-p2p/classified-ads-0.07_p20150728
this does not happen, some kind of sandbox??

Here is attached very latest ebuild that among other fixes should handle also this ssl-dependency problem. It downloads the source from tag in github so it should be not that prone to break in similar way.
