Upgrading from kservice-5.14.0 to kservice-5.14.2 results in the KDE desktop becoming non-functional, or extremely slow. After login from SDDM, the screen is black. If you wait long enough (about 40 seconds,) the KDE desktop finally appears. However, it appears frozen. In reality, it's very slow to update (it's like running at 0.01FPS or something.) same here, kservice-5.14.2 completely breaks the desktop
I can confirm Plasma 5 stopped being slower than Doom III on Radeon 9250 after the downgrade. Also I could be wrong as it's just my gut feeling after many weeks of Plasma 5 but I don't think it's adding new slowness, just taking the one that's already there to an 11.
Same here. Downgrading to 5.14.0 fixes the issue for me.

I restarted and deleted .cache. No more slowdown and cached things seem to work ( tested dolphin image thumbnails cache, previously were not working )
