I would like to have gaim-extprefs 0.1.2 committed to portage. I was about to make a ebuild for it myself, but I am quite a newbie and reading the docs I could not even find how to handle where the only thing included in the tarball is: 1 file named LICENSE (GPL v2) 1 file named Changelog 1 file named extendedprefs.c The problem is that I could not find witch command to use to compile this single sourcefile.
The gaim-extprefs people will need to create a Makefile that lets me build this outside of the gaim source tree. I encourage you to write to them asking for this. Even a simple Makefile like gaim-blogger uses will suffice.
I've sent Kevin Stange a re-packaging of his code that uses autotools. He hopes to convert to it next week so then we could have a separate package in portage for it.
gaim-extprefs-0.3 now in portage for gaim-1.0.0.
