Hi, I am hitting this issue as well, but it actually seems that the problem isn't with lucene++ but with old Boost-installations still being present. See here: https://github.com/luceneplusplus/LucenePlusPlus/issues/101 I'm seeing the same thing on my system, but an even older version of Boost: 154 ** Build Summary ** 155 Version: 3.0.7 156 Prefix: /usr 157 Build Type: Gentoo 158 Architecture: x86_64 159 System: Linux 160 Boost Include: /usr/include/boost-1_49 161 Boost Library: /usr/lib64 162 -- <<< Gentoo configuration >>> 163 Build type Gentoo 164 Install path /usr 165 Compiler flags: 166 C -march=native -O2 -pipe 167 C++ -march=native -O2 -pipe 168 Linker flags: 169 Executable -Wl,--as-needed 170 Module -Wl,--as-needed 171 Shared -Wl,--as-needed I'm going to try to remove it and see what happens. My current version of Boost is actually 1.56.0-r1: [I] dev-libs/boost Available versions: 1.52.0-r7(0/1.52) (~)1.53.0-r1(0/1.53) (~)1.54.0-r1(0/1.54) 1.55.0-r2(0/1.55.0)^t 1.56.0-r1(0/1.56.0)^t [m](~)1.57.0(0/1.57.0)^t [M](~)1.58.0-r1(0/1.58.0)^t {context debug doc icu mpi +nls python static-libs +threads tools ABI_MIPS="n32 n64 o32" ABI_PPC="32 64" ABI_S390="32 64" ABI_X86="32 64 x32" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_3 python3_4"} Installed versions: 1.56.0-r1^t(21:47:11 2015-08-08)(icu nls python threads -context -debug -doc -mpi -static-libs -tools ABI_MIPS="-n32 -n64 -o32" ABI_PPC="-32 -64" ABI_S390="-32 -64" ABI_X86="64 -32 -x32" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_4 -python3_3") Homepage: http://www.boost.org/ Description: Boost Libraries for C++
The compile went through fine after removing the old directory. So I guess this bug would re-focus onto "Why are old Boost directories still present" or "Why is Lucene++ using old Boost directories?".
On my 3 installations where I had this problem this fix also applied well. In cleartext for all readers: - check which version of dev-libs/boost you have on your system - check if a directory /usr/include/boost-1_51/ exists on your system - if the installed boost version is higher than 1.51 then remove the old boost include directory rm -rf /usr/include/boost-1_51/
