I've tried to upgrade k3b-0.11.12 to 0.11.12-r1, but when I've done emerge -u k3b I've received this: k3bdevice.cpp: In member function `int K3bCdDevice::CdDevice::currentProfile() const': k3bdevice.cpp:1933: internal compiler error: in extract_insn, at recog.c:2199 Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. The error message says that the compiler itself crashed while compiling k3b, this can indicate a lot of things including faulty memory, too high speed-settings in the BIOS for memory/CPU or incorrectly compiled gcc.
Downclocked my P4 to 2Ghz (his original frequency) and now all works... thank you Dominik :)
