The geeqie-1.2-r1 ebuild has this:

Please update with a new snapshot so we can take advantage of the fixed bugs. Also consider dropping --disable-gtk3

Thanks for the report! Though the biggest fix from 1.2 looks like lcms2 support, which we already had in Gentoo.

Anyway, 1.2.1 is now in tree, with gtk3 USE-flag (not enabled by default in this one, as the window layout looked cropped in my tests)

Enabling USE=gtk3 introduces a regression: in "Info Sidebar" keywords part is not working. Disabling gtk3 fixes it.
