Portage's XTerm titles are too long and badly ordered, so the useful information gets clipped when terminal titlebars are short (example: when on a laptop with tabbed windows in fluxbox). Instead of: === (3 of 9) Compiling/Packaging (foo/bar-1.23::/var/portage/foo/bar I would prefer: (3 of 9) foo/bar-1.23: Compiling/Packaging (/var/portage/foo/bar) That way the information which is actually useful is most likely to be visible.
Bug has been fixed and released in stable portages on or before 2.0.51-r2
