Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="widgets" emerge -1 dev-qt/qtmultimedia:5
2.
3.

Ok builed fine with USE="widgets opengl".

So we probably need a REQUIRED_USE="widgets? ( opengl )" ?

Almost.

This is a bit more complicated than the usual "missing dep" bug, and is due to qconfig.h machinery. Basically with USE=-opengl both QT_OPENGL (qtgui) and QT_NO_OPENGL (src/multimediawidgets/multimediawidgets.pro) are defined, thus the latter is undefined by qconfig.h and QGLWidget is included even though it shouldn't be.

The "solution" is to remove the opengl USE flag, and hard-depend on qtopengl with USE=widgets.

I pushed these changes to the overlay for review: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/qt.git/commit/?id=fc848ac4a96c83dbad878d952d5c496bbf93374b

LGTM. No packages depend on qtmultimedia[opengl] so the flag removal is safe.
I wouldn't bother backporting to 5.4.2 if we're going to move 5.5.x to the tree soon, but feel free to do it.
Comment 6 Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2015-10-17 17:56:26 UTC
Thanks, this is fixed in 5.5.1.
