Description Daniel Bautista 2015-08-17 08:53:19 UTC
Since the ardour-4.1 release (now we have 4.2 available) when I emerge media-sound/ardour it seems to compile and install correctly, but when I run ardour, it says that it's still Ardour 4.0 (and is pops up telling that a 4.2 version is available).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
emerge ardour
/usr/bin/ardour4
Actual Results:
During the compilation, this warning appears:

/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/ardour-4.2/temp/environment: line 3342: $'\E[32;01m*\E[0m': command not found

After the emerge (finished with success), ardour 4.0 is opened.

Expected Results:
ardour should have updated to 4.2.

emerge --info:

Portage 2.2.20.1 (python 2.7.9-final-0, default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/kde, gcc-4.8.4, glibc-2.20-r2, 4.0.5-rt-rt4 x86_64)

ardour-4.x-revision-naming.patch

This patch replaces the ardour-4.0-revision-naming.patch and should fix the problem reported in this bug.
Comment 4 Andreas Schürch gentoo-dev 2015-08-17 15:16:28 UTC
I replaced the patch in 4.1 and 4.2 now.
I left out the 9999 ebuild for now, as its not used there... I will do that with the next change or bump there.
Thanks Daniel Bautista for reporting and thanks poly-c for the nicer patch.
