When i try to emerge xbindkeys, I get an error and the emerge process aborts. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge xbindkeys 2. sit and wait for a sec 3. look at the nasty error Actual Results: collect2: ld gaf exit-status 1 terug make[1]: *** [xbindkeys] Fout 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/xbindkeys-1.7.0/work/xbindkeys-1.7.0' make: *** [all] Fout 2 !!! ERROR: x11-misc/xbindkeys-1.7.0 failed. !!! Function src_compile, Line 23, Exitcode 2 !!! (no error message) Expected Results: It should've just emerged xbindkeys Pentium 4 2.53 Ghz 512 MB DDR400 ram
try 1.7.1 if it still fails, reopen and attach `emerge info`
Created attachment 34759 [details] Emerge log of xbindkeys 1.7.1 It seems to have the same problem as 1.7.0
xbindkeys 1.7.0 and 1.7.1 both fail to emerge, added log of xbindkeys 1.7.1 emerge
doesn't works for me. I suggest masking xbindkey 1.7.0 and 1.7.1 since no solution is proposed. Portage is curently broken for x86 so something has to be done quickly...
Both compile fine over here, so once again the request to attach the output of `emerge info`. * x11-misc/xbindkeys Fri Apr 23 14:54:46 2004 >>> x11-misc/xbindkeys-1.7.0 merge time: 41 seconds. Mon Sep 27 14:43:46 2004 >>> x11-misc/xbindkeys-1.7.1 merge time: 41 seconds.

oki, for me the bug is closed, juste re-emerge guile ... don't understand why but it works :) maybe an error from me :(
the guilde dep is in place, maybe some library guile was compiled against has changed. reemerging will fix this.
