I did some research and it seems that vtkinteractionstyle library gets built if any of these USE flags are set for sci-libs/vtk: USE="imaging" -- * vtkInteractionStyle, needed by 2 modules: vtkInteractionImage vtkInteractionWidgets USE="qt4" -- * vtkInteractionStyle, needed by 3 modules: vtkGUISupportQt vtkInteractionWidgets vtkViewsInfovis USE="rendering" -- * vtkInteractionStyle, needed by 5 modules: VTK_Group_Rendering vtkGeovisCore vtkInteractionImage vtkInteractionWidgets vtkViewsInfovis USE="views" -- * vtkInteractionStyle, needed by 3 modules: vtkGeovisCore vtkInteractionWidgets vtkViewsInfovis

I came across the same problem, first the vtk failed to build at the configure phase with all-module included in use, when removed it, it just can safely built, but opencascade failed at build time without the USE you mentioned，now I have managed to install freecad! I think opencascade should have an explicate declaration of this problem, hope it can be fixed soon! Thanks a lot!

The bug does not seem to be fixed yet ? I had the same problem today and solved it with the USE=imaging flag for sci-libs/vtk.

Failed for me. Fixed by rebuilding vtk with USE="all-modules".
