I am trying to set up Estonian e-ID card software on my Gentoo (they only support Ubuntu officially). I thought it might be a good idea to integrate it into Portage for the next guy and I can be a maintainer (they don't seem to update that often anyway). 

The problem is while I am an oldtime Gentoo user, I never participated in development, so I guess I need some starting points on how this interaction happens. I tried asking in #gentoo and I was pointed at both Sunrise and the new Git repo, so I am totally not sure how do I proceed now. Thanks and sorry for spam.
