Probably it's because CuteMarkEd is depends on dev-qt/qtwebkit:5
(for previewing functionality).

app-text/cutemarked/cutemarked-0.11.1.ebuild
> DEPEND="
> dev-qt/qtcore:5
> dev-qt/qtgui:5
> app-text/discount
> app-text/hunspell
> "

should be

DEPEND="
        dev-qt/qtcore:5
        dev-qt/qtgui:5
        dev-qt/qtwebkit:5
        app-text/discount
        app-text/hunspell
"

maybe fixes.

FYI:
# apt-get install libqt5webkit5-dev
is done for Ubuntu Trusty in
https://github.com/cloose/CuteMarkEd/wiki/Build-Instructions
Comment 4 wjn 2015-10-24 23:58:16 UTC
 Also,
  dev-qt/linguist-tools:5
  dev-qt/qtnetwork:5
  dev-qt/qtprintsupport:5
  dev-qt/qttest:5
are needed.

Please add them to DEPEND.

The above suggestions are seem suitable.
By appling the attachment patch, compile step have been successfuly done.

By the way, It is already exist which nice cutemarked ebuild in "wjn-overlay".
https://bitbucket.org/wjn/wjn-overlay/src/f258e7d9e8f9b35c5d72ab0f1b0e5740e991927e/app-editors/cutemarked/?at=master
In this case, is it a possibly that porting to portage tree?
