Description charlax 2004-06-30 14:11:45 UTC
I'm french and it's my first bug report, so ...

When you don't want to update a file called "foo.conf", you can simply press "2" when you run etc-update, and the file ".foo.conf_cfg0001" will be removed.

BUT the first line which contains the header too !

So I think the script "etc-update" should update automatically the first line, if if contains header.
It's minime, easy to repair, and very useful in fact.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run etc-update
2. Choose a file
3. When you want to do not update a file :
 - you press "2" and the update file will be removed
 - you press "3" and only update the first line which begin with "$Header ..."

isnt this the point of 'replace-cvs' in dispatch-conf ?

in /etc/etc-update.conf:

# Whether trivial/comment changes should be automerged
eu_automerge="yes"
