emerge --info

I've find that the updated version of sys-app/hdparm doesn't seem to be able to display the Security information on disks other than the main one (/dev/sda). The security information displays the following:
Security:
Master password revision code = 65534
		supported
	not	enabled
	not	locked
		frozen
	not	expired: security count
		supported: enhanced erase
2min for SECURITY ERASE UNIT. 8min for ENHANCED SECURITY ERASE UNIT.

I've tested with sys-app/hdparm-9.47, sys-app/hdparm-9.45, sys-app/hdparm-9.39 and hdparm 9.43 from another system. The results are that versions above 9.43 doesn't seem to display the information of the second disks, but they do for the main ones.

I've uploaded the tests I've done with several versions over the same computer. You can see from v9.45 log that hdparm can display the security info of /dev/sda but it doesn't display it for /dev/sdb, while v9.43 and v9.39 can display both without any issue.

I do not observe the same behavior.

Sorry I didn't added to the first post, but the issue seems to happen ONLY with SSD drives. Normal HDD are displayed correctly.

Bump. Do you still experience this problem?
Comment 10 Peter 2016-03-13 19:05:17 UTC
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue with hdparm v9.48
