Description Austin S. Hemmelgarn 2015-07-22 12:42:47 UTC
Under OpenRC 0.17, cgroups generally work fine with the rather big exception of the blkio controller. No matter how I try to configure OpenRC, it refuses to do anything whatsoever with blkio cgroups,

I've verified (multiple times on multiple systems) that cgroup_find_path() from rc-cgroup.sh returns the correct value for the blkio cgroup, and that I have the blkio controller enabled in my kernel.

Manually creating cgroups under this controller works perfectly fine.

Starting services with rc_verbose="YES" shows no errors, but doesn't show it even trying to use the blkio controller.

The fix for bug #562354 may be related.
Can you please test OpenRC-0.18 and let me know if this is still an issue?

That does indeed seem to have fixed things, thanks!
