Bug 55551 – imap from courier-imap-3.0.5 requires starttls

After upgrading from 3.0.4, suddenly courier-imap requires starttls... :-O
Any ideea why is that?
I've made no changes to the config files...

please elaborate a little more and `emerge info`, `emerge -pv courier-imap`

Hmm.. as I said, I've upgraded from 3.0.4-r1 to 3.0.5, suddenly, when I connected to imap with outlook express, I received a message saying that STARTTLS is required, which shouldn't happen.

I do have courier-imapd-ssl configured and running, but they are 2 different daemons.

1. your configuration files say offer STARTTLS only and not unencrypted logins.
2. bug #39653 points out we weren't offering STARTTLS properly before, and we've now correct that problem.

if you want logins without STARTTLS, 
set IMAP_TLS_REQUIRED=0
in imapd-ssl.

I thought that imapd-ssl config file is only for courier-imapd-ssl, not also for courier-imapd.
