Description mephinet 2015-07-13 12:27:26 UTC
Using vmware overlay revision 19adc449de35095..., and trying to build vmware-player, emerge fails with:
sed: can't read /var/lib/layman/vmware/app-emulation/vmware-player/files/vmware-3.0.rc: No such file or directory
This is caused by the "files" directory not existing. Symlinking it from /usr/portage into the layman tree fixes the issue. IMHO, this directory should be added to the overlay.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
# layman -a vmware
# layman -S
# emerge vmware-player
Actual Results:
>>> Install vmware-player-7.1.0.2496824 into /var/tmp/portage/app-emulation/vmware-player-7.1.0.2496824/image/ category app-emulation

Please use vmware-player from tree.
This is not the place for reporting vmware bugs from overlay.

Sorry.

Amy

Sorry, I thought vmware-overlay uses this bugzilla too...
