current stable is 10 years old : https://sourceforge.net/p/sdcc/bugs/2397/

From upstream :

  Why does Gentoo consider as unstable all sdcc releases after 2.5.0?

@toralf, Can you check a little more before filing this type of bug, both upstream and here. Version 3.5.0 of sdcc was added to the tree only just yesterday. I really appreciate all the tinderbox work but this one is a bit premature.
