After emerging =sys-auth/polkit-0.113 suspending the system requires root authentication, which is pretty annoying because after I close my lid I won't see it. the screen turns black (should indicate, that the session tries to suspend) but seconds later it turns back to normal and a polkit prompt is shown for root authentication. it works fine with =sys-auth/polkit-0.112-r3 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge =sys-auth/polkit-0.112-r3 2. try to suspend from non root user action Actual Results: authentication prompt for root is shown Expected Results: systems goes into suspend installed software: =sys-apps/systemd-220-r2 =x11-misc/sddm-0.11.0-r1 =sys-power/upower-0.99.3 (bug also happen with sys-power/upower-pm-utils) Plasma-5.3.2
It looks to occur only with KDE (or, at least, on GNOME it still works properly)
don't why, but it works now. Maybe systemd had to be updated as well? Or just to be rebuilt? Or Kde Frameworks? Closing for now.
