I have some local ebuilds I want to share with other users. I have at the moment about 15 ebuilds. Can you add my overlay to the list of overlays ? Please set a proper repo_name file and layout.conf with masters. I also suggest naming the repository as something that makes sense when forked, and doesn't collide with the package manager. Sadly, I can't suggest you any good docs. 'man 5 portage' [1] is probably the nearest thing to documentation we happen to have right now. Or the wiki repository format guide [2]. I have added the necessary files. I have see a repository.xml file in some overlays. Is it better to add one ? I have not found some documentation about that file. I could use this opportunity to complete the wiki if it can helps others. I don't have changed the name. I won't have specific ebuild. It's an overlay of a user. Perhaps later it will be possible to add some of them in more specific overlays. Just tell me if it's a problem.
Thanks, it looks all fine now. You actually change the name the way I liked it, so no need to worry about that. As for the .xml file, it can be used to add repository via layman without going through the official list. However, since you already requested adding it, there's no real point in having an unofficial list like this :). I will add it in a few minutes.
