gcc-4.8.5 was released yesterday and brings in a bunch of bugfixes, see URL. Bumping the 4.8.5 patchset from 4.8.4 required a few changes so I'll note them here: 1. 45_all_linux-pthread-reentrant.patch has made it upstream so it is dropped from 4.8.5 patchset. 2. 94_all_gcc48_alpha_bootstrap.patch also made it upstream and is dropped. 3. 19_all_libbacktrace-Werror.patch needs to be refreshed because of slight changes to libbacktrace/configure.ac (and the resulting generated configure script). All other patches apply. Reproducible: Always
Okay gcc-4.8.5 is in the tree. The initial patchset is -rw-r--r-- 1 blueness users 24K Jun 24 13:13 gcc-4.8.5-patches-1.0.tar.bz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 blueness users 14K Jun 24 13:13 gcc-4.8.5-piepatches-v0.6.1.tar.bz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 blueness users 1.3K Jun 24 13:13 gcc-4.8.5-specs-0.2.0.tar.bz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 blueness users 3.0K Jun 24 13:13 gcc-4.8.5-uclibc-patches-1.0.tar.bz2 located at http://dev.gentoo.org/~blueness/dist/ and on the cvs repo at https://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo/src/patchsets/gcc/4.8.5/ I tested that it builds good exes on amd64 hardened.
Okay not obvious problems. This is done.
