I report those issues here as the ebuild recommends me not contacting GAIM developers directly. You can decide if these are worth sending upstream, as this ebuil is marked unstable. MSN file transfers were added to GAIM in version 0.79. Work well but there isn't a "send file" button in the im window, you have to go to the main window -> right click on the buddy name -> send file. ALso no confirmation message appears in the chat window. Avatars (buddy icons) were also added, you can see other's avatars but you can't set one for you. In the main window avatars are placed at the right border of the window, and if a buddy's nick is too long, they dissapear and you have to scroll horizontally to see them. There is no option to change your state (away, busy...) from the notification area icon menu. You have to open the main window and go to a menu. I think that menu should be available in the icon, as AMSN does.
This is an RFE, and not a bug. Please report this directly upstream, as it has nothing to do with Gentoo.
